1. Ingredients 

Gather the ingredients including self-rising flour, cold butter (cut into small cubes), and milk.

2. Preheat Oven   

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

3. Mix Dry Ingredients   

In a large bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour.

4. Cut in Butter       

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour. Use a pastry cutter, fork, or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5. Add Milk  

Gradually add the milk to the flour mixture, stirring with a fork or wooden spoon until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it holds together.

7. Cut Biscuits 

Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out biscuits from the dough. Place the cut biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
