Gather your ingredients, including bell peppers (any color), ground beef or turkey, rice, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings like paprika or Italian seasoning.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. If the peppers don't stand upright, you can slice a small amount off the bottom to create a flat base.
Cook the rice according to package instructions. You can use white or brown rice, depending on your preference.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked rice, cooked meat mixture, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings. Stir until well combined.
Spoon the filling mixture into the prepared bell peppers, pressing down gently to pack the filling.
Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
Remove the foil and top each pepper with a sprinkle of cheese if desired. Return the peppers to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy!
